Can I use the WeChef Food Warmer without the black legs?

The food wamer contains 4 black legs and they are not pre-installed, you need to install the legs before using the food warmer. Please note we do not recommend you use the food warmer without the black legs. When the food warmer is working, the temperature of it's bottom can reach over 100 degree. Without the rubber legs installed, there is no space between the bottom and your table for the heat to emit, the heat may gather and cause a fire. It is not safe to use the food warmer without installing the legs.

WeChef-Food Warmer: How to test if the thermostat works before using

When the machine is used for the first time, test it by setting the temperature to 40???to see if the machine could normally heat up.
(When the machine starts heating, the heating indicator will light up. It is estimated that it will take about 10 minutes for the machine to reach 40??? after which the heating indicator will turn off)
If any abnormality is found during the test, it is recommended to contact our customer service.

WeChef-Food Warmer: How to avoid smoking and what to do if it's smoking

How to avoid smoking
Avoid storing food too wet or too oily in the warming showcase.
Please remember that always put the food on a heating-proof container before storing it in the warming showcase. If the oil or water from the food drip down to the heating tube under the bottom of the warming showcase, there is risk of damaging to the heating tube and hence abnormal heating and safety risks. Always clean the panel trays to ensure there is no oil residual or water residual.
What to do if it's smoking
When there is abnormal smoke occurs, disconnect the power immediately and check if the location where the smoke happens has oil residual. Wait for about 3 hours to let the machine to thoroughly cool down before cleaning away the oil residual. Always ensure that the internal of the machine is well-cleaned and regularly clean away food residual and oil residual from the machine and the oil tray.

WeChef-Food Warmer: The 10 Important Things You Should Pay Attention To When Using A Food Warmer

1. This equipment must be grounded.
2. Power applied must match with the rated voltage.
3. Regularly check and ensure that there is no damage on the power cord. If the power cord is broken, please be advised that the broken power cord must be replaced by a professional electrician.
4. Disconnect the power first before carrying out maintenance for the appliance.
5. Do not rinse this equipment with water directly. Gently wipe it with a piece of wet cloth or neutral detergent.
6. Children are not allowed to operate this appliance.
7. Do not touch the appliance when it is working in case of scalding.
8. Do not place any flammable material near the appliance.
9. Before turning on the appliance, please make sure that all the plastic foam and protecting film are removed first.
10. When the appliance is working, the temperature of its bottom will reach over 100???. Don't place the appliance on surface made of MDF, PVC, wood, plastic and other materials that are not heat-resistant.

Do I need to put water in the bottom dreg tray of the Wechef Food Warmer?

Please note there is no need to add water in the bottom dreg tray. The bottom dreg tray was designed to collect dripping oil/water from the food as the heating element is in the bottom of the food warmer. If without a tray, the oil or water from the food will drip down to the heating element directly, it may damages the heating element and causes abnormal heating and safety issue. Please kindly empty and clean the bottom dreg tray on time to ensure there is no oil accumulation or water accumulation.

What is the best replacement bulb to order for Wechef Food Warmer?

Unfortunately we do not sell replacement bulb for this food warmer. The bulb is universal and you can find one easily. Below are the specifications of the bulb:

Can I place a plastic to go container on WeChef Food Warmer?

Unfortunately we do not recommend you place a plastic container on this food warmer, the high temperature may melt the plastic container. When choosing a container for your food, please kindly select a container with good high temperature resistance. We recommend you can use foil pans that are large enough to hold your food.

Can I use Wechef Food Warmer to prewarm glass plates and coffee cups in cafeteria?

Please note we do not recommend you use this food warmer to prewarm glass plates or coffee cups. This food warmer is only designed to keep the food warm, like pizza, egg tart, fried chicken, hamburger, etc. Aluminum canned coffee is also not recommended to place in this food warmer.

Will WeChef Food Warmer completely cook a pizza?

Wechef food warmer is good for warming and storing cooked pizza, egg tarts, fried chicken or hamburgers to ensure long-lasting freshness. It will not cook a raw pizza, because the temperature range of this food warmer is 86 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit (30 to 85 degrees Celsius), however, when you are baking a raw pizza, the required temperature should be 450F, therefore it is not suitable to cook a raw pizza. If you would like to cook a raw pizza, you may need to buy a pizza oven.

Does WeChef Food Warmer come assembled?

Most of the parts are pre-installed, all you need to do is to install the glass door, the black legs and the bulb. The installation is very easy and no tool needed, we also provide a detailed instruction and you can follow the instruction to install it step by step.

Is the whole surrounding of Food Warmer made of tempered glass???

Yes the walls and doors are made of tempered glass. There are 2 main reasons that we use tempered glass:
(1) Tempered glass is stronger and safer. It is approximately 4x stronger than ordinary glass, it can withstand direct impact from blows and bumps; If by any chance the impact is too big to withstand, it will break into small granules instead of sharp shards.
(2) Tempered glass is heat-resistant. Tempered glass can withstand temperatures up to 470 degrees Fahrenheit and it is ideal for kitchen appliances.

Can the glass doors of WeChef Food Warmer be replaced?

Yes the glass doors are replaceable, however, we do not sell the glass doors separately. If you need a replacement glass door and your order is still within warranty, please kindly contact our Customer Support through email and describe your issue clearly, then we will help you resolve the issue. Please note a vaild order ID is required when sending your email.

Can you leave oil in WeChef Deep Fryer after use?

Yes you can leave oil in deep fryer if you like, but it is only for short while. To keep the oil in deep fryer better, after it is cool down, please kindly remove the food or batter behind inside the oil, then close the lid and keep it away from your window.
If you are not going to use it again for a long period of time, it's better to remove it from the deep fryer. After the oil is cool down, please kindly strain it with a fine mesh or sieve, then transfer it to an airtight container, like glass or ceramic containers, to extend its usability. Then you can place the containers in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture.

Does the Food Wamer have a built-in humidifier ?

Unfortunately this food warmer does not have a built-in humidifier. The heating element was under the bottom of the food warmer and there are holes above it, it is recommended to keep the food warmer internal dry. If a humidifier is added, the water/moisture may ruin the heating element.

How hot does the Food Warmer get on the outside to the touch?

The outside of the food warmer will get hot after a long time use, the metal can reach around 50 degress. Please do not touch the outside of the food warmer directly after it has been working continuously for several hours.

Can I buy extended warranty for WeChef Food Warmer?

Unfortunately we do not provide extended warranty, we offer a 30-day return policy and a 90-day brand quality warranty for our WeChef Food Warmer, defective item will be repaired/replaced/refunded within this period.
