We suggest you to fold the falgpoles when it's in 7-8 wind rating. The available wind rate for flying the flsgpoles is in 5-6 level. You Can fly 2 flags at the same time or fly flag at half-staff if needed, easy to fly your national flag & state flag at the same time, or fly team and company flag as your like, perfect for President Day, Election Day and Independence Day.

Flag Pole: 3 Key Differences between YesHom sectional flag poles and telescopic flag poles?

The differences between the Yeshom sectional and telescopic models are:
Telescopic models: 1. Entire pole comes in 1 piece. Each sections can be twist to release or extend and lock into place. 2. It does not contain rope and rope winder as it can rotate the pole to get it down and up easily.
Sectional models: 1. Poles comes individually that requires you to connect together. 2. Can fly the flag at half staff. 3. It contains rope and rope winder so the pole can go down and up.

Do you sell solar lights for the YesHom Flag pole?

No, we do not sell solar lights for our YesHom Flag pole. You may use any lights as long as the treading matches the following specification:
Thread Dia.: 1/2" (1.2 cm)
Thread Length: 11/16" (1.7 cm)

What is the warranty for the flag poles

We offer a 1 year warranty on our Yeshom Flag pole for both the sectional and telescopic models. Warranty covers parts that break down due to flaws or defects in factory-installed parts only.

How do I install the flag pole?

1.Prepare a hole in the ground and ensure the hole is big enough. At least two feet deep and four to six times the diameter of the pole to accommodate the ground sleeve
2.Secure the sleeve and set in place. You may either use sand, gravel, rocks to secure it first and then put in concrete. (Make sure to not get any concrete inside the sleeve)
3.Wait 24-48 hours for the concrete to dry.
4.Install the flag pole and proceed to raise the flag.

What is the wind rating for the YesHom flag pole?

The wind rating for the flag pole is 25-30mph. If your location is going to be experiencing a bad storm, we highly advise for you to bring down the flag.

How strong wind the flagpole can handle?/ What is the wind resistant speed/ level of the flagpole?

Flagpole can handle Beaufort number 6 wind speed which is Strong Breeze. Corresponding wind speed 25 to 31 mph. For safety, it is recommend to know the data of local annual average wind speed before purchasing. If flagpole is placed under average wind speed which is higher than Beaufort number 6, falgpole would become more vulnerable and less durable. Besides, when svere weather or fierce windy and heavy rainstorm weather is coming, please lower and remove the flagpole to indoors. For safety and finance consideration.

How to install flagpole sleeve in the ground?

Please use cement for stabilizing the flagpole sleeve. For cement, it can fill all the gaps between the ground and the sleeve so makes the sleeve more stable. Also, it can be manufactured to the desired strength with the durability of concrete is very high.
We recommend to dig a hole that is at least 16'' deep for placing the sleeve in it for enough stability. Base on different constructions and specifications, sectional and telescoing flagpole use different kinds of sleeves. Please use attached sleeve in the package for the flagpole, and replace the corresponding sleeve if you need to replace a different type of flagpole.

How to install light on the top of the flagpole?

A light is acceptable for placing on the top of the flagpole. However, please kindly notice that weight of the light could not exceed than 1.5lbs. Also, only solar lights is acceptable, light with a wire affects the hanging of flag and uninstallation of flagpole. In this case, we recommend our Yescom Solar Flagpole Light Topper Hole 11/16" 136LED which is compatible with all our sectional and telescoping flagpoles. If you use other solar flagpole lights, please kindly check the middle hole fits for 11/16'' rod or screws.

How do I choose a flagpole?

1. Size and Height
The right size depends on the height of your house. We have 20, 25 and 30ft flagpoles for different houses. For taller houses, you may want to consider a taller flagpole to hang your flag.
2. Material and Construction
Fiberglass and aluminum are common choices. If you're looking for a low-maintenance option, then aluminum might be right for you. This is because they're lightweight and durable. Fiberglass is a good choice; however it can get scratched.
3. Sectional or Telescoping
Telescoping and sectional refer to how the flags are raised and lowered. The sectional flagpole allows you to raise and lower it by hand with a rope. To fly the flag at half-mast, the sectional flagpole with a rope is the right choice. On the telescoping flagpole, the pole is split into several sections. If you want to raise a different flag, it can be taken down easily. It can also hang 2 flags at the same time.
4. Wind Speed
Think about natural disasters and the elements when choosing a flagpole. If you're on a budget, then you cannot afford to replace your flagpole if high winds destroy it. Telescoping flagpoles are a great, durable option against storms that allow for quick storage in case of inclement weather.
5. Building Code
Check your city's building code policies and HOA agreements (if they apply). This will ensure that you're not going against any rules by installing a flagpole.
6. Special Features
If you're looking to leave your flag out constantly, then you'll want to get a solar light for your flagpole. Leaving your flag hanging outside at night may be considered disrespectful unless it is properly illuminated.

How should I maintain my flagpole?

Flagpoles require regular maintenance checks and servicing to help to extend their life and maintain functionality. If you have a flagpole, no matter what material is, we recommend an annual maintenance inspection.
Keep Dirt and Debris Off the Pole and Other Components
Most aluminum flagpoles can be cleaned with mild soap and warm water. Simply attach a soapy sponge to the halyard, then clean the pole by raising and lowering the halyard with sponge attached. Regardless of your pole's material, you should always keep the pole and its components clean. You can clean most dirt and debris with a garden hose at medium to high pressure. For tougher stains or debris, you can use soap and water or a mild bathroom cleanser'just remember to wash off the excess when you're done.
Inspect the Winch, Cable, and Halyard Frequently
Depending on your pole's material, some of the components could be vulnerable to rusting and corrosion. You should regularly check that the primary components like the winch, wire cable, and halyard are all in good condition. If you notice any corrosion or tears in the wire, you should replace those parts.
Always Check the Pole After a Storm and Cold Weather
You should inspect the flagpole and its components on a regular basis, but especially after storms and a season of cold weather. A properly installed flagpole will be able to withstand most high-wind scenarios, but a strong storm can damage the pole. Additionally, if you live in an area that experiences cold weather, you should inspect the flagpole's components for possible corrosion.

Can I use a rope to raise and lower the flag on my telescoping flagpole?

The telescoping flagpole does not support a rope and pully and can only be adjusted by raising or lowering sections of the pole itself. To use a rope and pulley, you would need to replace the telescoping flagpole with a sectional flagpole. The ground sleeves for the sectional and telescoping flagpoles are different as well, you would also need to replace the sleeve. If you need to hang 2 flags at the same time, the telescoping flagpole is the best option for you. If you need the flag to hang at half-mast, you should choose a sectional flagpole.

How are flagpoles packed and delivered.

Given to over limit size and corresponding high shipping fee, please kindly note that flagpoles are not packed and delivered in full size. YescomUSA seeks the best possible shipping rate for delivery of every product. We are constantly searching for new ways to reduce the shipping cost of our flagpoles without compromising our standards of safety and care. So the flagpole is separeted in servel parts which are properly protected by foam in the package. In the other words, it requires a few easy steps of installation when it arrives.

How long a flag starts to fade?

A polyester flag will generally last approximately 180 days based on daily display if it is placed outdoor, but not during periods of inclement weather. In some cases, a polyester flag that is displayed 24 hours a day may only last a quarter of that time. So please remove the flag and flagpole from outside when bad wheather is coming. For indoor flag, its life span is much more longer than outdoors, at least it would not fade in months since no direct sunlight for a long time.

Do you offer installation service for flagpole.

I am sorry to tell you that we do not offer installation service for flagpole. Our flagpoles do require a few easy steps of installation. However, there is a manual which is for guiding user install flagpole. It includes pictures and words so that you could better understand how to install flagpoles and how flagpoles work. When you are going to install the flagpole, please make sure you have prepared all necessary tools that for installing flagpole in advance. For outdoor flagpoles, it would be better to have 2 people to install flagpoles for safety and efficiency. If you have any question or inquiry during installing, please contact us by phone or email without heisitation.

How to prevent joints between sections of flagpole from stuck?

No matter telescoping or sectional flagpole, joints could be stuck after a whiles using so makes the flagpole is unable to be uninstalled. To prevent this situation, we have to take good care of the flagpole beside regular maintenance in answer 920. Usually the joint stuck by rusts and metal fusion. Firstly, activing joints part of the flagpole to avoid metal fusion under static is necessary. For telescoping flagpole, loosen clamps and retract then reinstall the flagpole. For Sectional flagpole, uninstall every section and reinstall the flagpole. We suggest doing it every month or more frequent during rainy season. Besides, it is important to keep joint part clean and dry. So everytime we uninstall the flagpole, we should clean joint part as well. Removing rust by WD-40 and other dust accumulation by water and towel. Please remember completely dry up the flagpole before reinstalling.

Can I use flagpoles for other purpose?

Our flagpoles are unable to be used for other purpose beside as flagpoles, although they are made of sturdy materials and excellent workmanship. Some people might want to make all good use of flagpoles, like use it as a pole for fixing sun shade sail or a post for soccer net. However, those purpose would bring extra unnecessary pressure on the flagpole, which could add possibility on damage and defect. Given those concerns, we do not suggest using flagpoles for other purpose.

My flagpole is missing poles, it doesn't have all poles in the package.

If you purchase a Sectional Flagpole and it seems like it is missing poles, be sure to check inside the larger diameter poles. For convenience, smaller diameter poles are inside the larger poles.
