It is not recommended to use this 24in 2500W Griddle at home, as it needs to be plugged into 25-amp receptacles. However, most homes in the U.S. are wired with a combination of 15-amp and 20-amp, 110-volt circuits. Therefore, if you want to buy a griddle to use at home, you can consider our 15in 1500W Griddle (YES4367), it only requires 10 amp so it is more suitable to use at home.
Not suitable for ceramic or stainless steel, cast iron pans will work.
The griddle surface is coated with anti-rust oil to protect it from oxidizing during shipping, which is NOT a sign of the item having been used. Please remove the anti-rust oil and clean the surface thoroughly before using. We believe that the griddle can work normally. Would you mind attempting to test the griddle according to the user manual after you remove the anti-rust oil and clean the surface thoroughly?
We currently have 2 different Electric Countertop Griddles, the 15in 1500W one and the 24in 2500W one. The power cord of the 15in one is 1.3m long while the 24in is 1.5m long. The power cord of both griddles are long enough in most occasion. Using an extension cord is not safe and we do not recommend you use an extension cord with it. If the power cord is not long enough for your need, you can try to use a Power Strip but please keep in mind you can plug the griddle on this Power Strip only, not more electric equipments.
Cleaning an electric griddle is not that difficult, you can follow the below easy steps to clean it.
1. Turn off the griddle and unplug it, the let it cool down for several minutes;
2. Shovel off the residue and grease with the spatula;
3. Wipe with detergent (mild dish soap);
4. Wipe with a damp cloth,
5. Finally wipe the grill with a dry cloth to avoid rusting. It is best to apply a thin layer of oil to protect the grill.
Please note it is forbidden to wash directly with water during the process.
