No matter where your gazebo is placed, it will need cleaning from time to time. From debris and dirt, to mold and mildew, a material roof is bound to get dirty when left outside in the elements. When it comes to cleaning a canopy, or any other material, our best advice couldn't be more simple:Wipe away marks immediately to avoid stainsRemove sap and debris as soon as it is noticedRemove and wash the material with soapy water and a soft scrub brushHose down the material with clean water to remove any soapy residueAllow to dry completely before storageCleaning your canopy doesn't have to be a long, painful process, but it does need to happen between 1-2 times a year to make sure you can use it again the following year.Top Tip: Avoid using bleach, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and washing machines. These can cause damage to the material, stitching, and waterproofing.
Great canopy care starts with the correct assembly of the material over the frame. Not only will you need to assemble the canopy once you've first purchased your gazebo, you'll also need to remove and reassemble the canopy to properly clean the fabric, for repair work or, crucially, to store it away over the winter months.
Avoid unnecessary stretching and tears by taking the time to carefully put on the canopy. To put up a gazebo canopy, make sure the frame has first been partially extended and then carefully place the material over, aligning three of the four corners. You can then fully extend the frame, lock the slider bracket into place and, finally, pull over the remaining corner of the canopy.
Make some final adjustments by pulling down the canopy over the frame until it's secure on all sides.
1. Our canopies are water repellent, but it's still helpful to add an additional waterproofing solution to your canopy. This is because the original water repellent coating may lose its effect due to weather elements. Please be sure to follow the instructions on the water repellent spray product carefully and precisely. Spray a small, inconspicuous test area first to ensure there are no problems. Also, be certain that the canopy fabric is completely dry before you pack your tent top away.
If you have a colored tent top, please note that spraying an additional water repellent solution may slightly alter the color of the fabric.
2. Over time, moisture, heat, and humidity can break down the original sealant. If you'd like, consider using a silicone seam sealer to double seal the seam.
People who love spending time in their own homes know the importance of feeling comfortable. If you have a patio, you likely stay there all the time too. However, if you don't have the right patio cover, such as a canopy, the heat and rain could convince you to stay indoors instead. One essential way to make your patio better is to install a canopy. During the summer or when the weather is nice because you can have breakfast, read a book, or drink at night out on the patio. However, to ensure your patio will continue to be your go-to place in the house, it requires the proper shade or shelter to keep natural elements from affecting your extension. Installing an outdoor canopy will help to provide protection and shade from the harmful UV rays for anyone using the outdoor area of your property or building. An excellent benefit of putting up shade covers for your patio is it encourages your family members, especially children, to stay on the patio and enjoy the outdoors.Besides, if the kids are outside, they acquire benefits that are good for their health, including physical fitness, social skills, and mental stimulation. Even adults and people of all ages can take advantage of their time outdoors to improve one's mental health and well-being.
A canopy gazebo can be most simply defined as a gazebo that has an aluminium or steel frame and a fabric or PVC canopy stretched over the top. The canopy is the roof of the gazebo and the thing that protects the people and item that is underneath. Patio canopy gazebo is the more permanent models which are quite sturdy when they are placed. These can still be moved within the garden if it is necessary but their size and weight makes it impractical to keep putting them up and taking them down. Another type of patio canopy gazebo that you may come across is one where the support structure is made of wood, concrete or another permanent material and the canopy is stretched over this. This gives you flexibility as you can leave the canopy up or even take it off to let the sun through and enjoy an open pergola feel every now and then.
Gazebos are usually single tier or double-tiered. A single tier frame canopy looks like a pyramid. A double tiered frame has another top tier structure to accommodate another, smaller canopy top and a vent is optional between them as well. Also, the way the canopy attaches to the frame is another difference to consider. Some canopies attach over the frame of the gazebo for a secure fit. Other canopies attach by a corner pocket design, where the canopy attaches to poles which extend past the frame of the gazebo. Some attach by hooks into holes on the frame. In addition, every gazebo is constructed differently. Some gazebos have panels that contain detailed scrollwork or shelves where you can display plants, vases, and other outdoor items. Strong, sturdy posts, or a fenced in look are also unique characteristics that vary with each gazebo.
1. It would be better if you could still remember or find out the brand and model of your gazebo, which is so much helpful to getting the type and dimension of the replacement canopy which fits your gazebo.
Some of our replacement canopies that we manufacture are made specific to that gazebo. This model number can either be the manufacturer's model number or the model number the retail store assigned to the product. This is the gazebo's identification number. The model number can be found on a tag on the underside of the original canopy or on the netting set. The instructions manual also include the model number.
2. If you are unable to provide the brand and model of your gazebo, the store from where the gazebo was purchased narrows down the many different types of gazebos you will funnel through to determine which replacement canopy will fit your gazebo. It would be better if you could provide us with picture of order details so that we could know what size of your gazebo.
3. If you are unable to give us any information above. Please measure couple of position of the gazebo frame as below and it would be better to take a picture of the original canopy and gazebo frame.
Hemline Length, Hypotenuse Length, Middle Height
If your gazebo is 2 tired, please also measure the 2nd tier.
Upper Tier Hemline Length, Upper Tier Hypotenuse Length, Upper Tier Middle Height
Our gazebo canopies are made from polyamide (PA) coated polyester. The PA coating makes the material of our canopy resists mildew better than others. However, mold and mildew thrive in damp and humid conditions. Once they start to grow, this can result in the material deteriorating, or even cracking and tearing outright. Dip a soft porous sponge or broom into the soapy water and brush it onto the canopy. If ok, it would be better to use solution of household mild detergent and cold water. A preferred cleaner should be safe for home anti-bacterial use and bleach-free. Do not use bleach for cleaning, because the bleach makes the fabric colour and printing fade. Apply to fabric and allow to soak for up to 15 minutes. Then scrub gently with the broom to remove the mildew and stain build up. For stubborn areas, moisten a sponge with the soapy water and scrub carefully. After cleaning, rinse the cover completely to remove all of the soap residues with a garden hose. Prevention is the best cure ' keep the gazebo canopy clean and dry.Cleaning: The simple way to avoid mold and mildew problems is to wash the canopy periodically or every 3-4 use.Storage: Allow the canopy to dry completely before packing and stowing each time. Store it in a dry place where humidity below 60%. Controlling moisture is the must-have strategy for preventing mold growth on the material.
Please kindly note that if the hypotenuse side of the canopy is sagging, it means the canopy is a little bit larger than the frame or the fabric is worn out by constant exposure to the elements'UV rays, wind, and especially water. Sagging would bring noise if weather is windy and collect water on the canopy while rainning, either situations could lead the canopy to damage or defect. But please do not worry, we have prepared suggestions for you to fix this issue since it is hard to find a 100% fit canopy for the gazebo frame. The easiest way to get rid of that annoying sagging is to use pool noodles. A pool noodle is a buoyant cylinder of foam that you can use for fixing a sagging gazebo canopy. Another thing you can do is use an anti-water pooling device. This is a glass-filled plastic peg you can place at the four corners of your gazebo canopy.
Please kindly note that this is just a canopy replacement so the frame is not included. We sell canopy replacements for people who originally carry a gazebo or tent with a defective or damaged canopy. If you do not have a gazebo or tent, we suggest you purchase a full gazebo or tent includes frame and canopy first. Our canopy replacements are for specific model or size, you may choose one is compatible and suitable.
