Our awnings are made of a PC hollow board and ABS plastic brackets, which come in different color combinations like Clear/Black, Clear/White, Brown/Black, Green/Black, or Green/White. The PC sheet is transparent, to allow sufficient light for reading or doing outdoor activities, while still effectively protecting your door, window, furniture and floor from UV rays, rain & light snow. It's ideal to use on you patio, entry way, garden, or balcony. They come with a set of wall-mounting accessories for 3 different walls types: cement, wood, or brick.
Yes, the awning can be used in the sun, rain, and light snow.
About light snow: The support load is up to 22 lbs., if there is heavy snow in your area, we suggest you clear the awning every few hours.
About rain: On the following models: YES4224, YES4222, YES4225, YES4223, there's a rain gutter on the other edge that drains rainwater from two sides to prevent water from dripping uncontrolled.
About wind: The 5mm thick PC sheet, together with the ABS brackets has is strong, however the wind resistance is lower than Level 8 (39-46 mph).
About sunshine: The PC sheet is resistant to heat, cold, corrosion, rust, light impact and is long-lasting, having an average life span of 10 years. If you prefer a model with a higher anti-UV rating, you can choose one of the following models: YES4224, YES4222, YES4225, YES4223.

For the window awnings, you can connect several sets and install them together. Please be aware of the following:
1. Before putting sets together, please make sure that the installation area is large enough for the awning to be installed together.
2. The awnings should be connected before installing them on the wall. This will ensure that it fits properly in the space where it will be installed. We recommend using at least 3 people for the installation.
Please also note that our awnings cannot be cut. We do offer different sizes, that can be connected to fit your desired space. We offer: 40"*40", 40"*80" and 40"*120". Please check the links below:

What kind of walls could I install the window awnings, and any installing tips?

We offer two models with the anti-UV coating. One is a single-sided coating, and the other is a double-sided coating. For the single-side coating, you need to remove the milky white film and install it with the UV coating facing up.
Each awning comes with a step-by-step manual, along with hardware for it to be installed on cement walls, brick walls, and wooden walls. Our awnings can also be connected to provide coverage for a wider area. Before putting sets together, please make sure that the installation area is large enough for the connected awnings.
If you plan to install the awning onto vinyl siding, please contact us with the thickness of the siding and whether the wall is insulated or not. Our customer support team can offer suggestions regarding the installation. You can send us pictures of the siding and installation area via email and live chat.
The installation tips for different scenarios:
1. We recommend that the awning be ~ 7-15 inch. larger than the fixture it is being installed over, allowing for 3-7 inch. overhang on the sides.
2. If you are installing it over doors or windows, we recommend that the awning be 15 inches longer than the fixture, to allow 7inch. on each side.
3. If you install the awning over an air conditioner or water heater, the awning be ~15 inches longer than the fixture, to allow 7inch. on each side. We also recommend leaving 3 inch. above and below the awning.

Please be careful that snow would accumulate not only on the ground but also roof in winter. At the same time, the poly awning canopy is also bearing extra weight from the accumulation of snow. And it would easily destroy poly awning canopy which could probably fell down later. Bringing safety harzards which could have been avoided. So we suggest clean snow on the poly awning canopy everytime after snowing.

The drop approximately is 9cm (3.54''). That is why we recommend leaving at least 10cm (4'') of space above the door frame.

Can I install the awning on aluminum siding?

Sure it can be installed on aluminum siding. Please predrill holes for brackets before installing. It would be better to use a cobalt drill bit to drill holes on aluminum siding cause melting point of aluminum is lower.
