Code Description Factory setting AL Low Temperature Alarm Range 1°C AH High Temperature Alarm Range; 1°C CA Calibrating Temperature Sensor Reading 0°C HS Upper Temperature Limit 39.5°C LS Lower Temperature Limit 30°C Low Temperature Alarm Range (AL) & High Temperature Alarm Range (AH)
The machine will sound an alarm when the temperature is over or below the alarm temperature range. The factory setting of the high temperature and low temperature alarm is 1°C. If you need to adjust the alarm values, you can modify the settings in AL/AH. For example, the desired incubator temperature is set as 38°C and the factory default value of AL & AH is 1°C. That is to say, if the incubator temperature higher than 39°C or lower than 37°C, the alarm will go off. If you think that the alarm value of 1°C is relatively large and wants to set the alarm to 0.5°C , you can set AL and AH to 0.5 °C .
How to set AL & AH
A. Press and hold Set button for 3 seconds.
B. Press Up/Down button to select "AL" or 'AH'.
C. Press Set button to enter the setting of the item.
D. Press Up/Down button to adjust the low temperature alarm range.
E. Press the Set button to confirm.
Calibrating Temperature Sensor Reading (CA)
If the temperature reading on the display panel is not precise enough, you can calibrate the readings.
When testing the sensor, it is recommended to use a professional measuring instrument. Once you have a professional measuring instrument, the temperature can be calibrated if the temperature displayed by the measuring instrument and the machine are inconsistent. For example, when the machine shows a temperature of 38°C, when the measuring instrument temperature is 39°C, CA should be +1°C, if the machine shows a temperature of 39??C, the measuring instrument shows a temperature of 38°C, CA should be -1°C.
How to set "CA"
A. Press and hold Set button for 3 seconds.
B. Press Up or Down button consecutively to select 'CA'.
C. Press 'Up' or 'Down' button to adjust the temperature reading.
D. Press 'Set' button to confirm.
Upper Temperature Limit (HS) & Lower Temperature Limit (LS)
The upper temperature limit (HS) and lower temperature limit (LS)are the temperature setting range. The default temperature setting range of this incubator is 20-39.5 °C (68-103°F). It means that HS is set as 39.5 °C and LS is set as 20. For example, if you would like to set the desired temperature as 40°C, which is not within the temperature setting range, you need to set the upper temperature Limit (HS) to 40°C or above first so that you can set the desired temperature to 40°C. The temperature setting range has been adapted to the temperature requirements of most eggs during the incubation and hatching. Normally, there is no need to reset the HS and LS values.
How to set "HS" & "LS"
A. Press and hold Set button for 3 seconds.
B. Press Up or Down button to select "HS" or "LS".
C. Press 'Set' button to enter the setting of the item.

1. The incubator cannot heat up at all or it cannot reach to the desired temperature.
Check the heating indicator light if it is turning on. If yes, it means that the incubator is heating now. Please confirm how long the incubator is heating up. Normally, it will reach to the desired temperature after 20-30 minutes, depending on the surrounding environment. We recommend trying it again and waiting for 20-30 minutes to see if it works. If the temperature did not reach to the desired one after 30 minutes but it is still heating, please confirm if the ambient temperature is lower than 18??C (64 F). If it is lower than 18??C (64 F), it is recommended to take heat preservation measures and retest. You can use the Styrofoam box included with the packaging if needed. If the incubator is heating for 30 minutes but it has no change in temperature, we recommend contacting the customer service team for another resolution as the incubator may be defective. When you test the item, please make sure that the lid of the incubator is covered and there is no gap between the lid and the machine. 2. The temperature has reached to the desired one and the incubator is buzzing all the time. In this case, you need to confirm if the heating indicator is still turning on first. If the temperature is higher than the desired one and the heating indicator light is still turning on, it means that the incubator is still heating. At this moment, please stop using your incubator and contact the customer service team for resolution as the sensor of this incubator may be defective. If the heating indicator has turned off. It means that the sensor is working and the incubator has stopped heating because the temperature has reached to the desired one. The incubator keeps buzzing because the actual temperature is higher than the desired temperature. It will stop once the incubator is cool down. We recommend putting the incubator in a cool, dry place and waiting for the temperature to cool down to see if the alarm sound stops. You may adjust the internal temperature of the incubator by adding the proper amount of water. When adding water, pay attention to the humidity, keeping it within a reasonable range. To better assist you, we highly recommend you providing us the following details when you contact our customer service team.1. Your order information and contact information (With the information, we can locate your order and reach out to you timely.)2. Detailed description of the problem. Let us know if you have tried with the troubleshooting and what was the result?3. It will be better if you can provide us a short video to show the problem at the same time.
Egg size & weight
It is best to choose eggs that are the average size and have clearly defined round and pointed ends. If the egg is too large it might contain a double-yolk (you can check by using a candler). If the egg is too small it might not have a yolk at all. Weights and grading will vary by individual operations and need for eggs. The ideal hatching egg should weigh between 50 and 60 grams.
If you are not sure if it is the average size, you can confirm it according to the size and weight of eggs. Normally, we recommend choosing the fertile eggs whose length is 1.4 larger then width.
Egg Shell
The egg shell should be free of deformities, spots, and the shell should not be damaged or infected. Please ensure the eggs is clean of debris (do not wash).
Certain egg conditions have been shown to have negative impacts upon performance including:
Dirty eggs'reduced hatchability and higher risk of contamination (Omphalitis and Aspergillus).
Cracked eggs'same as above.
Mis-shaped eggs'reduced hatchability and higher cull levels.
Double-yolks'reject egg, no hatchability.
Upside-down eggs'reduced hatchability and more culls.
The sterilization of hatching eggs does not need to be rigorous. If the sterilization conditions are not met, it is best not to sterilize. Improper sterilization methods may reduce the hatching rate. It is only necessary to make sure that there is no debris on the surface of the eggs and they are clean.
Storing the eggs
Hatching eggs must be fresh. Generally, fertilized eggs within 4-7 days after laying are best. The most suitable temperature for keeping the hatching eggs is 10??C-15??C. The surface of the hatching eggs is covered with a layer of powder for protection. You should NOT refrigerate or wash the eggs with water.
Meanwhile, the eggs must face up when they are set in the incubator.
Why do we need to control the incubator humidity during the incubation?
When an egg is initially laid, the egg is full of various liquids, including some moisture. During the incubation process, the egg will slowly lose some of its moisture through the pores of the shell. The amount of moisture the egg loses depends on the outside humidity. When the egg loses some of its moisture an air cell will form inside the egg. That air cell is where the chick decides to hatch. If the air cell is too small, the chick might drown while pipping through the shell. If the air cell is too large, the membrane might end up being too small for the chick before the pipping process begins. When the size of the air cell is exactly right when the pipping process begins, the eggs have the biggest chance to hatch successfully.
How to control the incubator humidity during the incubation process
Unlike with temperature, there is no perfect answer for the optimal humidity level in an incubator as it always depends on the embryo growth. Normally, there's a humidity display on the incubator. You need to always pay attention to the changes in the humidity of the incubator to make timely adjustments. The incubator cannot control the specified value of humidity and can only increase the humidity by adding water.
When and how much water should we add

Take hen eggs as an example. The egg hatching process can be divided into 3 stages according to the humidity from low to high.
The first stage: 1-7 days, fill the middle column of the tray (as shown in Figure 1)
The second stage: 8-14 days, fill the middle three columns of the tray (as shown in Figure 2)
The third stage: 15-21 days, fill up the tray (as shown in Figure 3)
Note: Different poultry eggs require different humidity. The above tips are only applicable to chicken hatching. If you need to hatch other eggs, please adjust according to the actual situation. Meanwhile, not each incubator includes the same water tray as pictures show. Thus, pictures are for reference only. It is better to check the humidity everyday and add some water if needed.
If you are not sure the humidity requirement, please refer to "Temperature and humidity requirements for various species of fowl".
Before incubation, we recommend testing the machine. Incubation losses can be minimized if you confirm that the machine is functional. If any issue arises during testing, please consult the troubleshooting section of the manual. If the troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, please contact our customer service team for a resolution.
1.Test the machine to see if it can be powered on and if the heat-up function works normally
To test whether the machine can be powered normally, close the lid after powering on, wait for about 20 minutes, then feel the temperature of the lid with the palm of your hand. If you can feel the heat, it means that the heating function is normal.
2. Test the fan to see if it works as normal.
To test if the fan works as normal, you can put your hand on the air outlet to feel whether there is air coming out.
3. Test to see if the temperature display works as normal
When checking the temperature display, you should first test if the machine can reach the set temperature. If the heating function works as normal, the machine will display the normal temperature. Otherwise, the machine will alarm or display garbled codes.
4. Test each button if it works
First, you can press the "set" button to see if the machine displays the factory setting temperature of 38??C. If yes, then the "set" button is normal.
Second, you can press "up" & "down" button to see if the temperature displayed by the machine has changed. If so, Then the "up" & "down" button is normal.
Then, please confirm if your machine has an egg turning function. If so, you can press the egg turning button to test it. Some incubators have an automatic egg turning function, so it may not have a specific button for this function. In this case, we recommend checking your user manual to confirm how to operate the manual egg turning, so that you can test if the egg turning function works as normal.
If your incubator includes an LED lamp and can candle eggs, press the "light" button to see if the light turns on.

2)Setting Temperature
A. Press the "Set" once.
B. Up and Down button to adjust the targeted temperature.
C. Press "Set" button to confirm.
Notice: Different species of fowl have different temperature requirements during incubation and hatching. You should set the temperature according to it to increase hatchability. If you are not sure of the temperature needed, please read the article "Temperature and humidity requirements for various species of fowl".
If the temperature you need to set is not within the temperature setting range, you can reset the upper temperature limit (HS) and lower temperature limit (LS) before setting the temperature. The temperature setting range has been adapted to the temperature requirements of most eggs during the incubation and hatching. Normally, there is no need to reset the HS and LS values.
Meanwhile, this product has an automatic temperature control function. When the temperature is lower or higher than the alarm temperature range, the machine will give an alarm. The default alarm temperature range of the machine is the desired temperature 1°C. If you need to adjust the alarm temperature range, you can set the low temperature alarm range (AL) and high temperature alarm range (AH)

If the egg turning function fails, please refer to the article "Troubleshooting for the failure of the automatic egg turning function".
What is "candling" an egg? Candling is a method used to observe the growth and development of an embryo inside an egg. It uses a bright light source behind the egg to show details through the shell. The reason it is called candling is that the original sources of light used were candles. Our incubators include the LED lamp which can be used to monitor the viability of egg, easily tracking the development of embryo. There is also a clear lid for easy observation so that you do not need to open the lid and disturb the eggs every time. Why should you candle eggs during incubation?Candling allows you to monitor many things including the egg fertility, embryo development and weight loss rate. By candling you are able to identify the non-viable eggs (infertile or early death) and remove them. You can also avoid the risk of a rotten egg exploding and contaminating your hatch with dangerous germs. During incubation the air sac size should increase as moisture evaporates from the egg. Eggs need to lose about 13% of their original weight during incubation. If the incubation humidity is too low (very dry conditions), the air sac will be larger than normal and the humidity in the incubator should be increased to reduce the rate of water loss. If the air space is smaller than normal, then the opposite applies. When should you candle eggs during incubation? It is not recommended to candle eggs in the first 4 days of incubation, to avoid a sharp drop in the surface temperature of the incubator and the breeding eggs, which will adversely affect the early development of the breeding eggs. We recommend candling eggs on the 5th day.The first candling should be on the 5th or the 6th day: mainly to check the fertilization of the hatching eggs, and select out unfertilized eggs, loose yolk eggs, and dead sperm eggs. The second candling should be on the 11st or the 12nd day: Mainly to check the development of the embryo of the hatching egg. A well-developed embryo becomes larger, the blood vessels are distributed throughout the egg, and the air chambers are large and well-defined.The third candling should be on the 16th or the 17th day: Point the small head at the light source. The embryos that are well developed are larger and fill most of the shell. Most of the areas are not bright. If it is a stillborn egg, the blood vessels in the egg are blurred, the part near the air chamber becomes yellow, and the boundary between the egg content and the air chamber is not obvious.
If the display flashes or has nothing shown, it may be the issue of the motherboard. Please contact our customer service team with the following information so that they can provide you a resolution in a timely manner.
1. The order information.
2. The detailed description of the problem. It will be better if you can provide a short video to show the problem like it is flashing or it has no function when you press it.
3. Please help test each buttons if it works at the same time.
4. Please confirm how long the incubator was used before the display became defective and advised if the package was damaged upon arrival. If you still keep the package, it's better if you can provide some pictures to show the condition of it.
Incubation can fail for various reason, including the type and condition of the eggs, the incubator itself, the temperature and humidity conditions, etc. For us to determine where the issue lies, we need to confirm information on all of these factors.
If the incubation is not successful this time, please feel free to contact our customer service with the following details so that they can help you resolve the issue:
1. Your order information.
2. If the incubator is defective, please provide details of the problem and some pictures or a short video to show it.
3. Please provide pictures to show the fertile eggs that you used for incubation.
4. If you have made a record of the changes in temperature and humidity, please provide us the record at the same time and as well as information on the egg condition when you candled eggs.
Preparation before Incubation
1. Test Equipment
To increase the subsequent incubation rate and hatching rate, it is recommended that you test the incubation equipment beforehand and ensure that the incubation equipment can be utilized normally. Given the different functions and usage methods of diverse incubators, there is an extra product user manual in the package. Please read the incubator user manual carefully before incubation. Ensure you are well aware of the operation of fan, lighting and other function buttons. Assemble and text the equipment before use.
2. Choose Incubation Location
To maintain a constant temperature for your incubator, please place it to a location with temperature variation as small as possible. Do not put it under direct sunlight because the sun will result into temperature increase of incubator and kill the developing embryos. Generally, the incubator should be placed to where it will not be knocked off or stomped on. Try to keep your dogs or cats away from the incubator and prevent the power cable from falling off.
3. Choose Appropriate Hatching Eggs
First thing before incubation is to choose appropriate hatching eggs, then how to choose appropriate hatching eggs?
A. When it comes to the size of hatching eggs, it is advisable that you do notchoose eggs neither too large or too small. Those too small are likely unfertilized ones while those too large are possibly double-yolked eggs of comparatively low hatching rate. Take hen's eggs as an example, the optimum hatching eggs at average should be about 50-60g with its length 1.4 times as much as the width.
B. Choose fresh fertilized eggs newly laid within 4-7 days generally. Keeping fertilized eggs at 10-15°C is recommended. Washing or putting them into fridge will damage the powdery substance protection on cover, which is strictly prohibited.
C. Ensure fertilized eggs surface are clean without deformity, cracks or any spots. Incorrect disinfection mode will reduce hatching rate. Please ensure eggs are clean and without spots if the eggs are not provided with good disinfection conditions. All you need to do is to ensure the surface of hatching eggs are clean without foreign substance.
During Incubation
1. Placement of Hatching Eggs
When putting hatching eggs into incubator, ensure the pointy side of eggs faces downwards and the distance between eggs and plastic strips should be kept within 2 to 3 mm. (Note: Due to the different hatching days and requirements for temperature and humidity of eggs of different species, it is suggested that you buy extra incubator to incubate different eggs at the same time if needed.
2. Temp Setting and Temp & Humidity Monitoring
The whole incubation process requires correct operation and careful observation. It is advisable that you refer to the above chart to monitor the temperature and humidity given the requirements of diverse eggs during incubation and hatching period.
Note: Some incubators are equipped with humidity display and low-humidity alarming function, it is recommended that you observe the humidity shown from the display and add water moderately when the humidity is low. While of those without temperature display and low-humidity alarming function, please refer to the suggestions from the product user manual and add water given the daily water amount.
3. Egg Turning
It is recommended that you turn eggs to heat the hatching eggs evenly. Use automatic egg-turning function (Turn eggs once every two hours automatically) directly for incubators equipped with this function. If your egg incubator does not have auto egg-turning function, you can turn eggs manually 3-5 times a day in which situation you must wash your hands to avoid attaching bacteria or grease to eggs.
Note: Generally, chicks will enter the hatching period after incubation for 18-19 days. At this time, you need to stop turning and testing eggs to take out the egg tray and directly place the hatching eggs in the incubator. You can check the corresponding product manual for operation on how to cancel the egg turning function for incubators of auto egg-turning function.
4. Egg Testing
Do not test eggs in the first 4 days in case that the drastic temperature decline of incubator and the surface of hatching eggs lead to adverse influence to eggs' early development. Egg-testing begins from day 5.
First egg-testing in 5th-6th day: Check the fertilization of the eggs and take out unfertilized eggs, scattered yellow eggs, dead eggs.
Second egg-testing in 11th-12th day: Check internal eggs development. Welldeveloped embryo is enlarged with blood vessels inside, and the air chamber is large and sharply demarcated.
Third egg-testing in 16th-17th day: Put pointy side of egg towards light source. Welldeveloped kind of embryo becomes larger and fill up the egg body inside and most part of the egg is dark. Dead egg is with blurred blood vessels, yellow air chamber around, unclear boundary between egg inside and the air chamber.
Note: If the incubator is not equipped with LED light for egg testing, you can utilize flashlight or other lighting equipment for testing.
5. Egg Hatching
After chicks hatch out, do not take them out from the incubator until their feathers are dry. It is recommended that you postpone taking chicks out if there is huge difference in temperature. Or you can use tungsten bulbs and cartons to make a simple nursey box. The temperature should be controlled at about 30-35??C (adjust the temperature appropriately according to the condition of the chicks). Leave enough space for the chicks at the box bottom so that they can move to find place with suitable temperature.
The newly hatched chicks should be offered water in about 24 hours. The requirements to feed water to chicks are as follows:
1. Let the chicks drink water first before eating. After the chicks hatch out, the yolk in their body has not been completely absorbed. Drinking water first before eating helps the chicks to absorb the yolk constantly and excrete meconium.
2. For chicks' first water drinking, do not provide them with cool water or it might have diarrhea. Generally warm water should be given and you can add nutrition such as vitamins and glucose to supplement nutrients and physical fitness.
3. If the chicks can't drink water, you can press the chick head with your fingers, and then dip some water on the chick's mouth. After a few times, the chick will drink water.
After the chicks starts to peck the shell, some will successfully complete a set of procedures of pecking, kicking, and getting out of the shell, but in many cases, they only peck a crack on the eggshell and then stop moving.
That is because they are regaining their physical strength and this process usually takes up 1-12 hours, sometimes up to 24 hours. Some chicks peck a large hole on the shell but just do not come out. It is likely that due to the low humidity, the feathers and eggshells are stuck together, making them impossible to break free. If you want to help them get out of the shell, you must not try to directly break the eggshell with hands to pull the chicks out since the intestines of chicks will be directly pulled out If the yolk of the chicks has not been absorbed completely.
The correct way is to use a small tool to help the chicks expand the hole along the crack little by little. And if the egg bleeds, stop expanding the hole immediately and then put chicks back into the incubator. The best solution would be to let the chicks show their heads, then slowly peel off the shell and finally kick to open the eggshells by themselves.
Actually, different kind of eggs have different incubation time. The temperature and humidity required for different eggs are different, too. For example, chicken eggs for example will need 21 days before they hatch. While other species take longer or shorter.
Although they may share the same compositions, they are indeed these different from each other. If we force them to hatch earlier than when they are supposed to, it will resule in premature and most likely dead hatchlings. Thus, to increase the incubation rate and hatching rate, it is recommended only to incubate the same type of eggs at a time. If you need to incubate eggs of diverse species at the same time, it is suggested to use extra incubators.
Hatching eggs at first will never be easy. However, once you get the hang of it, it will be just a piece of cake.

Observe the real-time humidity value on the incubator, manually increase or reduce a small amount of water appropriately.
