Can I cut the Chair Mat in the shape I want?

All our Chair Mats are made of PVC. When cutting them, using a tin snip should be enough. Tin snips can easily cut through thin metal, vinyl, PVC, acrylic, and many of the other common materials that make up office chair floor mats. The long blades of a snip make it easy to cut straight and leave a smooth edge, but be sure to wear protective gloves during use. Firstly, use a pen or marker and your tape measure to mark the areas of your office mat where you want to cut. Then cut the mat with the tin snip along the mark. Please kindly note that the edge of the mat would be sharpe after cutting. Put the mat into hot water and let it soft.

The the smooth side of my PVC Floor Mat does not stick to the floor, how could I adjust this situation?

The PVC Floor Mat is rolled when it is stored and shipped. Please do the following when you get the package to make it smooth:
1. Remove and unfold the PVC mat.
2. Put the mat in the sun or soak it in hot water.
3. Flatten it out.

I see some models for PVC Floor Mat are with lip studded, and some other don't have, what's the difference between them?

We offer some models that have a lip and some that are studded. They are YES4970, YES4971 and YES4973. The studded models are meant to be used on carpet. The models with no studs are YES4784, YES4785, YES4972, they're recommended to use on hardwood floors. The lip is meant to go under a desk or table.

How to soften the floor mat?

The floor mat would be shipped in a roll, so it could be not flat and smooth when it arrives. It is recommended to take warm water (122-140 Fahrenheit) in the tub. Then place the floor mat in it for 15 minutes, floor mat would be soft soon. Please dry up the floor mat as soon as possible.

Will floor mat cause discoloration of floor?

The floor mat is made of PVC with high temperature resistance and high stability so it would not affect the color of the floor. Also, it is hard to change its color by dust or stain.
