Can I change an aerator to adjust GPM?

Given different purpose and needs, users can adjut the GPM of the faucet by replacing a different type aerator. Aerators screw into kitchen and bathroom faucets. Holes in the screens add air to the water as it streams out of the faucet. Faucet aerators are screens at the end of a faucet. The devices reduce the amount of water that comes out of a faucet and control the stream. If you need to adjust the GPM, please just remove the old one and replace a new one. Please refer to the uninstallation process according to the manual of the faucet.

How to remove the aerator?

Turn the aerator counter-clockwise (as viewed upward from below the spout) to unscrew it from the spout. If this does not work, try moving the pliers a quarter-turn around the aerator, and try unscrewing the aerator from the new position. (Moving to different positions can gradually loosen a stubborn aerator.)

Normally, this situation is caused by an incorrectly installed cartridge, and it can be an inconvenience.
Tools you may need: Screwdriver, Pliers or adjustable wrench, Knife
How to adjust:
1. Shut off the hot and cold-water supply lines.
2. Take off the button or cap (this could be the hot & cold sign) from the handle with a knife. Remove the screw holding the handle to the cartridge stem, then remove the handle.
3. Remove the cartridge retaining nut using a pair of pliers or an adjustable wrench. Hold the cartridge by the stem and remove it from the faucet valve by pulling gently.
4. Rotate the cartridge 180 degrees. Align tabs with slots cut into the lip of the valve. Reinsert the cartridge. Thread the retaining ring on and tighten it. Place the handle back on the cartridge, screwing it on with the screw. Put on the cap.
5. Turn on the hot and cold-water supply lines. Check that it works properly and that it turns properly.

Aquaterior - Bathroom Faucet: Why the water speed is low?

Accepted Answer

Generally, low pressure can be attributed to water supply and clogging in the aerator or filter gasket
1. Take off the aerator and filter gasket, see if there is anything clogging them. It is recommended to use an old toothbrush to clean them. Please note that there is a spare filter gasket included in the product, so if needed you can replace the gasket
2. If the water is still slow, please shut off water supply and uninstall the entire faucet.
3. Secure a pressure gauge to the water supply hose, turn on the tap and check the gauge reading. If the reading is lower than 60PSI, you have low water pressure and should contact a plumber for help. In case you don't have a water pressure gauge, you can use a 1-litre jug. You have a low water pressure if it takes more than 6 seconds to fill the jug.

No, the faucet direction is fixed after installation, and can only be turned in a specific direction. Please make sure the faucet is not able to be turn after installation cause it means the faucet has not been installed properly. Also, facuet would loosen and separate if it turns frequently, which could lead to leaking leaking. Given to this, please confirm the faucet is fixed on the desk after installation and the direction towards right as you want. And check the stability of the faucet every month in case any loosing and shifting.
